Women Cell

The Women cell aims at empowering and orienting women to recognize their true potential and to help them attain their own stand in a competing world. Its goal is the overall development in all spheres of their life.

Grievance Redressal Cell

The Grievance Redressal Cell is set up to probe into the student grievances. It redresses the grievance at individual and class level and grievances of common interest. The cell maintains a conducive and unprejudiced educational environment. Complains dropped in the suggestion Box by students and parents and verbal complaints are also redressed. All the complains are scrutinized by the management and the grievance redressal cell.

Anti-Ragging Cell

The Anti-Ragging Cell was established according to the regulations of UGC to curb the menace of ragging in the campus. An anti-ragging committee have been formed and steps have been taken as preventive precautionary measures. Warning about ragging and the penal and statutory punishments that await the offenders have been incorporated in the college hand book and on the opening day of the first term, the Principal addresses the new entrants and their parents and explains the expected code of conduct and also stresses the resolve to fight ragging.

Equal Opportunity Cell

The cell with its programmes and initiatives enriches the trait of inclusiveness in campus. The aim of the cell is to enhance diversity among students, teaching and non-teaching staff. All efforts are made to sensitize the academic community regarding the problems associated with social exclusion and to see to the fulfilment of the aspirations of the marginalized communities.

Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell – Internal Complaint Committee

In reference to Ministry of Women & Child Development’s D.O. Letter No. 19-8/2014-WW dated 14th January 2015, regarding constitution of Internal Complaint Committee as per Section 4 of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013.

Executing above directions an internal complaint committee is constituted at Christ College to prevent sexual harassment at workplace. A written compliant is required to be taken from the aggrieved person to take the necessary actions. The committee carries out inquiry to sort the matter. Also provides counselling and conciliation to the aggrieved person.

 

Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell has been established to provide a healthy and congenial atmosphere to the staff and students of the College to work together in an environment free of violence, harassment, exploitation, and intimidation. The cell is working with an objective to provide protection against sexual harassment and for prevention and redressal of complaints of sexual harassment and matters connected therewith and incidental thereto. The cell promotes behaviors that create an atmosphere that ensures gender equality and equal opportunities.

 

SC/ST Harassment Prevention Cell

Any kind of discrimination on the basis of caste, creed, religion, language, ethnicity, gender and disability is strictly prohibited in Christ College. CCSM will be very sensitive while dealing with incidents of caste discrimination and a strict action will be taken against such cases. The Officials/faculty members should also desist from any act of discrimination against SC/ST students on grounds of their social origin. CCSM also ensures that no official/ faculty member indulge in any kind of discrimination against any community or category of students. CCSM will take strict action against the erring official / faculty member, if any such incident comes to the notice of the authorities.

CCSM students can lodge grievance on this page of caste discrimination and also CCSM has placed a complaint register in the Director/Principal Office for the same.
